What does “soft seated” mean, and what are its advantages?
Soft seated means the valve seat is made from PTFE or RPTFE polymer material, rather than metal. This design achieves ISO 5208 Rate A bubble-tight shutoff (zero measurable leakage) and operates continuously from -40°C to +180°C, requires lower operating torque, and delivers longer service life. It is ideal for clean media including water, natural gas, oil, and process chemicals that do not contain abrasive particles.
What does “Low Platform” mean on this valve?
“Low Platform” refers to a compact actuator mounting pad conforming to ISO 5211. It allows direct mounting of pneumatic or electric actuators — including Rotork, Bettis, AUMA and Bray — without a separate bracket. This reduces overall installation height, lowers pipeline stress, and cuts total installed cost.
What is the lead time, and can you accommodate custom specifications?
Standard sizes (NPS ½” to 8″, Class 150 / 300) are available in 4–6 weeks. Custom alloys, actuated packages, or witness inspection orders typically require 8–12 weeks. OEM private labeling and ITP documentation are available for EPC projects. Contact our team for a formal quotation.
