GB/T 12237 Metal-Seated Ball Valve - Standard Platform
STELLITE METAL-TO-METAL · HAND LEVER · UP TO +350 °C
Manually operated Chinese-standard Metal-Seated ball valve for high-temperature steam, thermal oil, and abrasive media
in space-constrained pipeline installations. GB/T 12237
construction with Stellite metal-to-metal sealing (HRC 38–45).
Direct hand-lever operation removes actuator complexity.
Service temperature up to +350°C — well beyond PTFE soft seat limits.

— WHY bAUTU
Why Specify This Valve from Bautu
Stellite Trim — Beats PTFE Above 180°C
HRC 38–45 cobalt-chromium overlay maintains hardness and shutoff integrity up to 350°C — well past PTFE thermal limit. Ideal for steam mains, thermal oil heaters, and refinery process where soft seats fail in months.
No Actuator Required — Lowest TCO
Manual hand-lever removes pneumatic/electric actuator cost and field wiring. Compact body profile fits space constrained piping. Domestic GB/T 9113 flange compatibility — no adapter spool for Chinese EPC projects.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does "metal seated" mean, and when is it preferred over soft seated?
Metal seated means both the ball and seat ring are made from hardened metal rather than polymer (PTFE/RPTFE). Metal seated valves meet API 6D Class IV leakage rate (≤100 ml/min per inch of bore) and withstand service temperatures from -29°C to +425°C on standard carbon steel bodies, with alloy steel options extending to +600°C, abrasive media, erosive fluids, and high-velocity steam that would quickly damage soft seats. They are the preferred choice for high-temperature process lines, steam service, catalyst-laden flows, and fire-safe critical applications.
What does "hand lever" operation mean, and when is it the right choice?
A hand lever is a manually operated handle that rotates the valve ball 90° by hand — open position is lever parallel to the pipe, closed position is lever perpendicular. It provides immediate visual confirmation of valve status at a glance. Hand lever operation is the preferred choice for smaller pipe sizes (DN15–DN200), low-frequency operation, maintenance isolation duties, and installations where no pneumatic or electric actuator supply is available. For larger sizes or high-cycle automated systems, a gearbox, pneumatic, or electric actuator is recommended instead.
What is the lead time, and can you accommodate custom specifications?
Standard GB/T 12237 metal seated hand lever ball valves (PN16/PN40) are delivered in 4–6 weeks from order confirmation. Custom configurations including Stellite-hardfaced seats, special body materials (316SS, Duplex), locking handle devices, or upgraded packing for high-temperature steam service typically add 1–2 weeks. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TÜV) is available on request. Submit your datasheet for a tailored quote within 24 hours.
