How to choose
Double- or Single-Acting?
- Double-acting when the valve may stay where it is if the air fails. Smaller actuator, lower cost.
- Single-acting (spring return) when the valve must close (or open) by itself on air failure, for example on a fuel or steam line.
- Modulating with a positioner when the valve has to hold part-open positions; use a V-port ball valve for better flow control.
- Explosion-proof actuator and accessories for gas, solvent and other hazardous areas.

How to choose
On-Off or Modulating?
- On-off for open/close duty: isolation, batching, tank filling.
- Modulating when the valve must hold part-open positions to control flow from a PLC or controller.
- DC 24V for low-voltage control panels and solar or battery systems.
- AC 380V for larger valves in plants with three-phase power.

Actuated Ball Valve FAQ
What is an actuated ball valve?
A ball valve driven by a pneumatic or electric actuator instead of a lever or handwheel, so it can be opened and closed remotely or automatically.
Pneumatic or electric actuator: which should I choose?
Pneumatic when the site has compressed air (0.3–0.8 MPa) and the valve cycles often; electric when there is no air supply, or when the valve is run from a PLC over long cable distances.
Do you make GB, JIS and ANSI versions?
Yes. Tell us the flange standard and pressure rating; we fit the actuator to the matching GB, JIS or ANSI ball valve.
What happens to the valve if air or power fails?
A single-acting (spring-return) pneumatic actuator moves the valve to a set position, usually closed. A double-acting pneumatic actuator or a standard electric actuator stays where it is.
Can I use my own actuator brand?
Valves with an ISO 5211 mounting pad accept any actuator with the matching flange and drive. Send us the actuator model and we check the fit.
What is the lead time?
Standard sizes ship in 15–20 days. Special actuators, voltages or accessories may take longer; we confirm the date with your quote.
