Checked before packing

Face-to-face and flange dimensions are checked against the drawing before packing. Each strainer gets a QC tag with model, size, rating and inspector.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a Y-strainer do?

It traps solid particles such as scale, rust and weld slag in a removable screen, so they do not damage or block pumps, meters and valves further down the line.

Which flange standards and sizes are available?

GB PN16 (DN15–DN300), ASME Class 150 (½″–12″) and JIS 10K (15A–300A). Face-to-face and flange dimensions for all three are in the dimension tables on this page.

How is a Y-strainer installed?

In horizontal pipe with the screen leg pointing down, or in vertical pipe with downward flow, with the arrow on the body in the flow direction. Leave room below the cover to pull out the screen for cleaning.

Which mesh size do I need?

It depends on the particles you need to stop and the pressure drop you can accept. Tell us the media and the equipment you are protecting, and we confirm the screen with your quotation.

Which body material should I choose: WCB, CF8 or CF3M?

WCB carbon steel for non-corrosive water, oil, gas and steam. CF8 (cast 304) for general corrosion resistance. CF3M (cast 316L) for chlorides, seawater and chemical media.

What documents ship with the valve?

A product test report with the heat number of the body casting, chemical composition, mechanical properties and the pressure test results. We welcome third-party inspection (e.g. SGS or BV), arranged and paid for by the buyer.

What is the lead time?

Standard sizes ship in 15–20 days. Large sizes and special options may take longer; we confirm the delivery date with your quote.
