Checked before packing

Face-to-face and flange dimensions are checked against the drawing before packing. Each valve gets a QC tag with model, size, rating and inspector.

Pressure rating

Pressure Rating

RatingNominal pressure (MPa)
PN161.6

Nominal pressure at room temperature. Working temperature −29 °C to +150 °C per our drawing.

Testing

Pressure Test on Every Valve

TestPressure
Shell test (water), PN162.24 MPa
Seat test (water), PN161.76 MPa
Seat test (air)0.6 MPa

Test pressures from our Z40H-DN50-PN16 drawing; actual values for each valve are on the test report.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a gate valve to regulate flow?

No. A gate valve is made to run fully open or fully closed. Half open, the flow wears the wedge and seats and the valve vibrates. For throttling, use a globe valve such as our GB/T 12235 globe valve.

What does metal-seated mean on a gate valve?

The wedge seals directly against stainless steel seating faces in the body, with no soft insert. It suits water, oil and gas within the rated temperature, and the seating faces resist wear from frequent operation.

Which body material should I choose: WCB, CF8 or CF3M?

WCB carbon steel for non-corrosive water, oil and gas. CF8 (cast 304) for general corrosion resistance. CF3M (cast 316L) for chlorides, seawater and chemical media.

What is the packing made of?

Graphite: braided graphite rings at the top and bottom of the stuffing box and flexible graphite rings in between. The gland is tightened with stainless eye bolts.

What documents ship with the valve?

A product test report with the heat number of the body casting, chemical composition, mechanical properties and the pressure test results. We welcome third-party inspection (e.g. SGS or BV), arranged and paid for by the buyer.

What is the lead time?

Standard sizes ship in 15–20 days. Large sizes and special options may take longer; we confirm the delivery date with your quote.
