Application
Where It Is Used
For lines built to Chinese standards where the flow has to be regulated or the valve is operated often.
- Flow control in chemical and process plants (HG series)
- Corrosive media lines (CF3M body)
- Water, oil and gas lines
- Projects and plants designed to GB standards

Parts & Materials
Body, bonnet and disc in WCB, CF8 or CF3M with matching stainless trim. The bill of materials for your size and material is sent with the quotation.
Design notes
- Simple construction, easy to make and maintain
- The disc lifts straight off the seat with no sliding between the sealing faces: little wear, tight sealing, long service life
- Short disc travel, so the valve is lower than a gate valve, with a longer face-to-face length
- Media flows one way only, in the direction of the arrow on the body; in this pressure range it enters under the disc
- Higher flow resistance and operating torque than a gate valve; for full-bore on/off service choose a gate valve

CAPPED & BAGGEDChecked before packing
Face-to-face and flange dimensions are checked against the drawing before packing. Each valve gets a QC tag with model, size, rating and inspector.
Pressure rating
Pressure Rating
| Rating | Nominal pressure (MPa) |
|---|---|
| PN16 | 1.6 |
| PN25 | 2.5 |
| PN40 | 4.0 |
Nominal pressure at room temperature. The allowed pressure falls as the temperature rises.
Testing
Pressure Test on Every Valve
| Test | Pressure |
|---|---|
| Shell test (water) | 1.5 × PN |
| Seat test (water) | 1.1 × PN |
Actual test pressures for each valve are on the test report.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Globe valve or gate valve: which do I need?
Choose a globe valve when you need to throttle the flow or operate the valve often, and when tight shut-off matters. Choose a gate valve for lines that run fully open or fully closed with a low pressure drop, such as our GB/T 12234 gate valve.
Which way round is a globe valve installed?
Follow the arrow on the body: the media flows one way only and must not be reversed. In the PN16 to PN40 range the flow enters under the disc. Leave room above the handwheel to lift the stem.
What does HG series mean?
HG/T standards are the Chinese chemical-industry standards. Our GB globe valves use HG/T 20592 flanges, the flange standard used in Chinese chemical plants.
Which body material should I choose: WCB, CF8 or CF3M?
WCB carbon steel for non-corrosive water, oil, gas and steam. CF8 (cast 304) for general corrosion resistance. CF3M (cast 316L) for chlorides, seawater and chemical media.
What documents ship with the valve?
A product test report with the heat number of the body casting, chemical composition, mechanical properties and the pressure test results. We welcome third-party inspection (e.g. SGS or BV), arranged and paid for by the buyer.
What is the lead time?
Standard sizes ship in 15–20 days. Large sizes and special options may take longer; we confirm the delivery date with your quote.
