CHECK VALVE BODIESChecked before packing
Face-to-face and flange dimensions are checked against the drawing before packing. Each valve gets a QC tag with model, size, rating and inspector.
Pressure rating
Pressure Rating
| Body material | Class 150, max. working pressure at 38 °C |
|---|---|
| WCB | 19.6 bar |
| CF8 | 19.0 bar |
| CF3M | 15.9 bar |
Per the ASME B16.34 pressure–temperature ratings. The allowed pressure falls as the temperature rises.
Testing
Pressure Test on Every Valve
| Test | Pressure |
|---|---|
| Shell test (water) | 1.5 × rated pressure at 38 °C |
| Seat test (water) | 1.1 × rated pressure at 38 °C |
Tested per API 598. Actual values for each valve are on the test report.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How should a swing check valve be installed?
In horizontal pipe, or in vertical pipe with the flow going upward, with the arrow on the body pointing in the flow direction. It should not be installed in vertical pipe with downward flow.
What pressure and temperature can it handle?
ASME Class 150, from −29 °C up to +550 °C depending on body material and trim. Typical service is water, oil products and steam in oil, chemical and power plants. Tell us the media and temperature and we confirm the material and seat facing.
Why choose a swing check valve?
The disc swings fully out of the flow path, so the pressure drop is low. It suits pump discharge lines and larger sizes where a lift check valve would restrict the flow.
Which body material should I choose: WCB, CF8 or CF3M?
WCB carbon steel for non-corrosive water, oil, gas and steam. CF8 (cast 304) for general corrosion resistance. CF3M (cast 316L) for chlorides, seawater and chemical media.
What documents ship with the valve?
A product test report with the heat number of the body casting, chemical composition, mechanical properties and the pressure test results. We welcome third-party inspection (e.g. SGS or BV), arranged and paid for by the buyer.
What is the lead time?
Standard sizes ship in 15–20 days. Large sizes and special options may take longer; we confirm the delivery date with your quote.
