Application
Where It Is Used
For on/off lines that are automated now or will be later. The ISO 5211 pad saves the cost and play of a separate bracket.
- Automated on/off valves in process plants
- Skid builders and OEMs fitting their own actuators
- Water treatment and industrial utilities
- Oil, gas and water lines in non-corrosive service
- Oil and gas plant and terminal piping

FACE-TO-FACE CHECK
QC TAG ON EVERY VALVEChecked before packing
Face-to-face and flange dimensions are checked with calipers against ASME B16.10 and B16.5, and the ISO 5211 pad is checked so the actuator fits first time.

| Body material | Class 150 (bar) | Class 300 (bar) |
|---|---|---|
| WCB (Group 1.1) | 19.6 | 51.1 |
Body ratings per ASME B16.34. The seat sets the temperature limit: +150 °C with PTFE, +180 °C with RPTFE.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mount my own actuator on this valve?
Yes. The top of the valve is an ISO 5211 mounting pad, so any pneumatic or electric actuator with the matching ISO 5211 flange and drive bolts on directly. The pad size and stem square for each valve size are in the dimension table above.
What is the difference from your API 608 manual ball valve?
Same body standard, materials and test. The manual valve has a small top pad for a hand lever; this high-platform valve has a full ISO 5211 pad, so it costs a little more but takes an actuator without a bracket. For valves that will stay manual, the API 608 manual ball valve is the better buy.
When should I choose WCB instead of stainless steel?
WCB carbon steel suits non-corrosive water, oil and gas and costs less than stainless. For chlorides, seawater or chemical service, choose a CF8 or CF3M stainless body: see our API 608 high-platform ball valve, the same valve in stainless steel.
Can you paint the valves in our colour?
Yes. The paint colour of WCB valves is made to your specification. Send us the RAL code or a colour sample with your enquiry.
What temperature can the seat take?
Standard PTFE seats are rated −29 °C to +150 °C. RPTFE seats are available for service up to +180 °C. For hotter media, use our metal-seated ball valve.
What documents ship with the valve?
A product test report with the heat number of the body casting, chemical composition, mechanical properties and the pressure test results. We welcome third-party inspection (e.g. SGS or BV), arranged and paid for by the buyer.
What is the lead time?
Standard sizes ship in 15–20 days from stock. Special materials or options may take longer; we confirm the delivery date with your quote.
Is the valve fire-safe or API certified?
It is designed and built to API 608 and ASME B16.34, and every valve is pressure-tested per API 598. We do not hold an API Monogram licence. API 607 fire-type testing and ISO 9001 are in application, so the valve is not yet fire-safe certified. Every order ships with a Product Test Report (heat number, chemistry, mechanical properties and API 598 test results). Third-party inspection (e.g. SGS or BV) is welcome, arranged by the buyer.
