Pneumatic V-Port Ball Valve — Wafer Type, DN25 to DN250

VQ641F-16P/R · PN16 · CF8 / CF8M

Wafer-type ball valve with a V-shaped opening in the ball, driven by a pneumatic actuator. The V-port shears fibres and solids as it closes and gives a more even change of flow than a round port.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I use a V-port ball valve?

Use it on media with fibres or solids, where the V-edge cuts through as the valve closes, and on lines where you need to regulate the flow. Fit a positioner when the valve has to hold intermediate positions.

PTFE or hard-alloy seat?

PTFE seats give tight shut-off on clean and moderately dirty media. Hard-alloy seats resist wear from abrasive particles and slurry. Tell us the media and we recommend the seat.

How do I install an actuated ball valve?

Before installation, run a seat leak test and a few open/close cycles without load: the valve must move smoothly with no sticking. Clean the bore, sealing faces and pipe flanges, and tighten the connection bolts evenly. The valve can be installed in any position; leave room for maintenance and manual operation.

What maintenance does the valve need?

Check the seals regularly and replace them when worn. Clean dirt and deposits from the valve without scratching the ball. Lubricate moving parts, and add a little lubricating oil inside the pneumatic cylinder about every 18 months. Always cut off the air and power supply before working on the valve.

What documents ship with the valve?

A product test report with the heat number of the body casting, materials and the pressure test results. We welcome third-party inspection (e.g. SGS or BV), arranged and paid for by the buyer.

What is the lead time?

Standard sizes ship in 15–20 days. Special actuators, voltages or accessories may take longer; we confirm the date with your quote.
