One-Piece Metal-Seated Flanged Ball Valve — GB PN16 & JIS 10K

ONE-PIECE BODY · METAL SEATED · GB PN16 OR JIS 10K

A flanged ball valve with a one-piece (integral) cast body and metal seats. With no body joint in the middle, there is no body gasket that can leak to the outside. Made in 304 stainless (CF8), 316L stainless (CF3M) or WCB carbon steel, with GB PN16 or JIS 10K flanges, and pressure-tested in our own plant.

Choose a metal seat when the media is too hot for a PTFE seat or carries particles that would cut a soft seat.

Installation

Install with the Arrow in the Flow Direction

The flow arrow is cast on the body next to the size and rating. Mount the valve so the arrow points the same way as the flow in your line.

  • Check the arrow before bolting the flanges
  • Size, PN and material are cast in the same box, so the valve can be checked on site
  • Tell us the flow direction in your RFQ if the valve goes on a skid or in a module

Testing

Pressure Test on Every Valve

TestPressure
Shell test (water)PN16: 2.4 MPa
Seat test (water)PN16: 1.76 MPa

GB PN16 version, tested per GB/T 26480. JIS 10K version: test pressures follow the 10K rating. Actual values for each valve are on the test report shipped with the order.

Pressure rating

GB PN16 or JIS 10K

RatingNominal pressure (MPa)
GB PN161.6
JIS 10K1.0

Nominal pressure at room temperature. The allowed pressure falls as the temperature rises; send us the design pressure and temperature and we confirm the rating.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a one-piece ball valve?

A ball valve whose body is cast as one part, with no bolted joint in the middle. Without a body joint there is no body gasket, so the only seal to the outside is at the stem.

When should I choose a metal-seated ball valve?

When the line runs hotter than a PTFE seat can take (+150 °C, or +180 °C with RPTFE), or when the media carries particles, scale or crystals that would cut a soft seat. For clean media at lower temperatures, a soft-seated valve such as our GB/T 12237 manual ball valve seals tighter and costs less.

Why is there an arrow on the body?

It shows the flow direction. Install the valve with the arrow pointing the same way as the flow in the line.

Which body materials do you make?

304 stainless (CF8), 316L stainless (CF3M) and WCB carbon steel, with GB PN16 or JIS 10K flanges. Size, rating and material are cast on every body.

What documents ship with the valve?

A material certificate and a pressure test report. We welcome third-party inspection, arranged and paid for by the buyer.

What is the lead time?

Standard sizes ship in 15–20 days. We confirm the delivery date with your quote.
